3 Classes of Flowers
In the last article I had written I mentioned "Premium" flowers and "Value Added" flowers. A few people have asked me to expand on that during our consultations. There are actually what I like to call 3 "price points" of flowers.

The first price point is "High Premium". These are flowers that are anywhere from $10-$25+ per stem. In the "High Premium" price point falls:
Gardenias
Hydrangea* (designer, aka native)
Calla Lily
Sweet Pea**
Grape hyacinth **
Delphinium (Dutch)
French tulips
Dahlias*
Lily of the valley
Peony

The second price point is "Premium". These are flowers that are anywhere from $4-$10+ per stem. In the "Premium" price point falls:
Rose
Freesia**
Stephanotis**
Larkspur
Tulip (columbian).
Orchids
Bouvardia**
Gerbera and Margarite daisies
Asiatic Lily
Sunflowers
Bells of Ireland
Gloriosa
Phlox
Solidiago
Thistle
Asters (Asian)
Stock
Star of Bethlehem
Hydrangea (coloumbian)
Lilac
Gladiolus
Spider Mums
Football Mums

The last price point is "Value added". These are flowers that are generally less than $3 per stem and also have multiple blooms to work with. Filler flowers tend to fall into this category as well:
Babies Breath
Wax flower
Alstromeria
Mums (poms, daisy poms, pin cushion)
Carnations (mini and full size)
limonium
Now it is important to remember that filler flowers also have high and low cost points. Alstromeria and Wax flower are at the top of that price area. Babies breath and limonium are more twords the bottom.

Now you would think that greens all cost the same. They do not. They break down in to the following tiers:
High
Italian ruscus
Variegated Italian ruscus

Mid
Salal (aka lemon leaf)
veirgated pitt
Pitt
Mertyl
Ivy
Variegated Ivy
Plumosis

Low
Leather leaf (aka fern greens)

So lets look at the overall value now:
