Verification and Design Engineer, July 2004 - Present
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Boxboro, MA
- Work with customers, implementation teams, and verification teams in multiple geographies to determine features to include in future production tapeouts of multiple AMD64 product lines
- Provide design input and functional ATE patterns for debug of silicon issues related to both functional problems and speed path isolation
- Assisted bring-up effort of the first 65nm AMD64 product silicon on ATE
- Led debug of fullchip regression failures for multiple AMD64 product lines
-
UltraSPARC V Verification Engineer, June 1999 - May 2004
Sun Microsystems, Burlington, MA
- Verified instruction fetch unit (IFU) predictors
- Developed shadow models and checkers in C++ and PLI for six predictors functioning in all strand modes
- Wrote a random assembly test generator in perl capable of placing exhaustive instruction combinations in fetch bundles.
- Filed bugs while writing and filling coverage terms for corner cases
- Led a team of ten engineers to complete final gate validation
of all processor features on an abstracted verilog model
- Developed and supported project infrastructure (perl and
shell scripts)
- Archive and extract stimulus required to reproduce model
failures
- Detect and automatically regress IFU environment changes
- Scripts to implement configuration management methodology
- Verification Engineer Intern, May - August 1997
Intel Corporation, Hillsboro, OR
Implemented test cases exercising boundary conditions for the trace
delivery engine cluster of the Willamette (Pentium 4). Was
responsible for reporting bugs and extending the test coverage.
- Co-op Engineer, 4 semesters from August 1994 - August 1996
Siemens Stromberg-Carlson,
